i started out being really happy this morning because i'd just finished my finals and the Fall 2006 is officially over for me. then i met up with the others at the cafeteria and i became confused. not in the thought-confused sense but more emotionally confused. i was happy that the break is beginning but then really sad that everyone was leaving for it and i'm probably never going to see some of them again. so i thought, now's the time to be camera-happy, and whipped out my camera and took pics with almost everyone at the table. fortunately for the guys, they look better in real life than they do in the pics that we took. haha.. here are the results:
Nathan's going back to colorado but will be back next sem.
Jamie's staying in oklahoma (where he's from). this was a bad pic of him. he's never taken an arm-length shot before. lol Akina's going to california and seattle and will be back next sem but will be going back to japan after Spring 2007 when her exchange program ends. Yuki's going to california to visit her friendship family and is in the same situation as akina.
Georgio is going back to austria and will not be returning.
Alicia's going to houston, texas and will be back next sem. Katie's going back to dallas, texas and will be back next sem.
Chema's going back to mexico but will be back next sem.
Ronnie's staying in oklahoma (where he's from). after some teary goodbyes, Ronnie asked us if we wanted to go ice skating... so that was our plan. while waiting for the others, something came up about lost keys so Kerstin, Alicia, Akina and I ended up waiting outside for more than half an hour. while we were waiting, i saw it as an opportunity to snap some shots.
well, i'll skip all the boring details. here are the ice skating pics:
Andres is going back to argentina and will not be returning because his exchange program has ended.
and finally, a group picture:
from left to right: javier, santiago, chema, ronnie, kerstin, andres, jose (yellow jacket), alicia, debbie, and akina it's weird to think that this afternoon i was at the civic center ice skating, and now i'm doing my laundry... huh. |
